Dr. Jacob was at Cobo Hall last weekend checking out an Indy car on display for the upcoming return of Top-level professional racing to the Motor City in 2012!! You can see the car at the Detroit International Auto show and Dr. Jacob will be there on Friday January 20thand Saturday January 21st.
Dr. Jacob, an avid race car enthusiast, is a veteran volunteer working with the Detroit Grand Prix races for 28 years. He has also volunteered and worked for Grand Prix Races in Long Beach, San Jose Houston and Miami along with other cities.
Chevrolet is stepping up to sponsor the Detroit Grand Prix on the city's Belle Isle street circuit and Dr. Jacob will be there! The race--last staged in 2008--will be held on June 1-3, 2012, and will feature the Izod Indy Car Series. The race weekend disappeared from Indy Car's schedule for the past three years because of the economic downturn. But it is back as our Motor City rebounds on the strength of our Auto Industry.
